Internationally recognized puppeteer, Paul Mesner, established Mesner Puppet Theater (MPT) in 1987 to provide:
“Innovative storytelling that captures children’s imagination and inspires communities”.

Mesner Puppet Theater holds the distinction of receiving three Union Internationale de la Marionette (UNIMA-USA) Citations of Excellence.
The UNIMA-USA award, which was created by Jim Henson, promotes high quality puppetry in the United States and is considered the ‘Academy Award” of puppetry.

Attendance is limited and registration is required for all attendees. Registration opens two weeks prior to the event. If you are not present when the program begins, you may not be able to participate.
 
Masks are not required but are recommended for attendees age 5 and up.

About the branch

Savannah Branch got a new look both inside and out in 2017. Small town hospitality abounds at this location, with a family-friendly layout and abundant seating. This location also processes passport applications, the only location in Andrew County to do so.
