Rolling Hills Library is a certified location that can accept and transmit passport applications. We are designated as a Passport Acceptance Facility for the US Department of State. Applicants are responsible for providing complete and accurate information on their passport applications. Incorrect information or unacceptable documents may result in processing delays and/or denial of an application. The library is not responsible for any travel problems experienced as a result of a passport application delay.
For application forms, information on documentation required, renewing a passport, required fees, and a wealth of other passport and international travel information, please visit the only official website for passport information, travel.state.gov. Any travel requiring expediency must be applied for at a Department of State Passport Agency site in person. The closest facility to us is Little Rock, AR.
FEES — THERE ARE MULTIPLE REQUIRED FEES TO APPLY FOR A PASSPORT. Any or all of the fees listed may be applicable, depending on your choices and circumstances.
SEPARATE PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE FOR EACH APPLICATION AND PAYMENT MADE TO THE LIBRARY IS SEPARATE FROM THE STATE DEPARTMENT. BY LAW, PASSPORT FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
Passport applications can be accepted at both the St Joseph and Savannah locations, by APPOINTMENT (at least 1 day in advance) or WALK-IN if a passport agent is available. Go to the appointments page and choose your location to start the reservation process or call the library branch where you want to make your appointment. Appointments are 30 minutes for each person, and you can make multiple appointments in a row for families or groups. WE DO PHOTOS!
You must come to your appointment PREPARED with all of the correct documentation and payments. You can fill out the application in advance but leave it unsigned. Appointments go faster if you have your form filled out online and printed in advance. In most instances, BOTH PARENTS must be present to witness and sign passport applications for any child 15 and under, or the absent parent must have a form signed and notarized to include in the packet. We will make copies for you as part of the service, you do not need to make copies in advance of IDs or birth certifications.
*NOTE: The passport acceptance process takes anywhere from 15-30 minutes per application so please plan accordingly.
