Mad Science is coming to your library for some ocean fun!
Mad Science of Greater Kansas City believes that fostering a love for science, technology, engineering, and math at a young age will give children the confidence they need to excel in these fields. For over 30 years, Mad Science has focused on designing and testing experiments and activities that resonate with kids, which allows them to provide innovative, hands-on children's science programs to our community.
Dive Into Science: Make waves with Mad Science this Summer as we EXPLORE the Vast Seas! You will use chemistry to make octopus ink suddenly appear. Have a blast as you encounter a whale sneeze. See a giant jellyfish take flight using the power of hot air. Hear the music of the ocean as we use air pressure to create whale noises.

Belt Branch was expanded and renovated in 2006 and occupies a unique space in a commercial strip-mall building on the busiest thoroughfare in town. It is open 7 days a week and offers over 30 programs per month. You can also schedule a one-on-one technology appointment or apply to get a passport.
