Cemetery Preservation and Headstone Cleaning

Cemetery preservationist Kurt Jordan will discuss his ongoing cemetery preservation project near Amazonia and show the proper methods of cleaning headstones.

Kurt Jordan has been working on preservation at the Greenwick Cemetery near Amazonia for several years. He became interested in the cemetery after learning of his relatives buried there. After repairing the marker of his great-great-great grandfather, he became interested in cemetery and headstone preservation. He has had training on repairing and resetting headstones with Atlas Preservation and will be offering in-the-field training for those interested at a later date at the Savannah City Cemetery.
