Join us in celebrating the 250th birthday of Jane Austen, author of classics like "Pride and Prejudice". Make a "classic" Christmas craft, have cake, tea, and be entered to win a fun door prize.

Author Jane Austen will turn 250 years old on December 16, 2025. She penned classic novels like "Pride and Prejudice", "Emma", and "Sense and Sensibility", taking a critical and often comical look into the lives of people living in England's Regency era. Join us in celebrating Jane by making a "classic" velvet Christmas ornament, enjoying some birthday cake, sipping some tea, and being entered to win a fun door prize!

Event is open to patrons 12 years of age and older.

About the branch

Belt Branch was expanded and renovated in 2006 and occupies a unique space in a commercial strip-mall building on the busiest thoroughfare in town.  It is open 7 days a week and offers over 30 programs per month. You can also schedule a one-on-one technology appointment or apply to get a passport.
