Lori McAllister will present on art deco sculptor Waylande Gregory who ornamented the interiors of City Hall and the Missouri Theater. Gregory, a native Kansan, was known for his innovative techniques. This program leads up to the 100th anniversary of City Hall and the Missouri Theater.
Lori McAllister (who is a chair on the committee for the centennial celebration) will present her program on art deco sculptor Waylande Gregory who ornamented the interiors of City Hall and the Missouri Theater. Gregory was originally from Kansas, attended the Kansas City Art Institute, and went on to become a notable participant in the art deco movement, revolutionizing ceramic glazing techniques. This program leads up to the 100th anniversary of City Hall and the Missouri Theater.
While there is no age restriction, this event is best for teenagers and up.
