Lori McAllister (who is a chair on the committee for the centennial celebration) will present her program on art deco sculptor Waylande Gregory who ornamented the interiors of City Hall and the Missouri Theater. Gregory was originally from Kansas, attended the Kansas City Art Institute, and went on to become a notable participant in the art deco movement, revolutionizing ceramic glazing techniques. This program leads up to the 100th anniversary of City Hall and the Missouri Theater.
