These four-legged friends love listening to books! Children of any age and reading level are welcome to participate in this drop-in activity.

Book Buddies Pony Express Therapy Dogs partners with Rolling Hills Library to provide young readers these opportunities for read-alouds in the presence of friendly, non-judgmental listeners. Research has shown that "canine-assisted reading" can have a positive influence on children's attitudes towards reading, lowering anxiety and boosting self-confidence.

About the branch

Belt Branch was expanded and renovated in 2006 and occupies a unique space in a commercial strip-mall building on the busiest thoroughfare in town.  It is open 7 days a week and offers over 30 programs per month. You can also schedule a one-on-one technology appointment or apply to get a passport.
