Rolling Hills Library is proud to host our first ever chess tournament!

The tournament will consist of two sections, one for USCF rated play and one open to anyone. There is no registration fee for either section. Each section will have 4 rounds, Swiss style. Doors open at 9am for those not yet registered and the first round will begin at 10am. Awards will be handed out at 5:00pm. Awards consist of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals for both sections and an additional prize for each of the 1st place winners.

     Rated - Membership in USCF required, can be purchased on site.

     Open - Non-rated tournament open to all ages and skill levels, membership not required.

Format: 4 rounds, Swiss

Time control: G/45;5d

Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals for each section; additional prize for 1st place in each section

About the branch

Belt Branch was expanded and renovated in 2006 and occupies a unique space in a commercial strip-mall building on the busiest thoroughfare in town.  It is open 7 days a week and offers over 30 programs per month. You can also schedule a one-on-one technology appointment or apply to get a passport.
