New Services for You and Your Family!

During this health crisis, the library is working even harder to serve you.  Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to help.

Curbside Pickup

**UPDATE**  Curbside will be back Monday-Friday from 10-6 starting April 6th.

Great new service to limit your need to come inside our library buildings, or just for busy individuals and families.  Here's how it works:

  1. Call your preferred library branch (Belt Branch 232-5479 or Savannah Branch 324-4569).
  2. Let them know your name, library card number, color and type of car, and when you will be by to get your holds.
  3. If you don't currently have anything on reserve and want us to pick a few things out for you, answer a few questions to help us understand your preferences and give us 2 hours to find some titles for you. The library software will call, text, or email when your items are ready.
  4. Call us from your car when you arrive and we will be out shortly.  You can park along the curb near the building entrances, but we do ask you not to park in or block handicapped parking spots.  Look for the red sign.
  5. To make this service NO-TOUCH we will place the sack on the ground right near the driver's door.  Your windows should be up and all doors closed.  After the library staff are at least 10 feet away, you may retrieve your bag.
  6. KEEP all your items checked out until 5/1/2020 or later.  We will move all the due dates and there are no overdue fines.

We thank you for your patience as we roll out this new service, and we will try to get materials out to your car just as soon as we can.

Apply for an E-Card!

If you don't have a library card yet, this is the perfect time to get an E-Card.  Then you can use all of our online and downloadable resources on your own devices in your own home or anywhere, really. Call any library location, text us at 287-9828, e-mail ecards@rhcl.org, or use the form on this page to apply.  You will get a library account number and a PIN/password to start using digital resources just as soon as we can set it up.  We will need your:

  • NAME
  • CITY AND STATE
  • PHONE NUMBER
  • E-MAIL
  • BIRTHDATE

It may take up to 48 hours to make your account and get you the information, but we will try our best to get it to you right away.

If you later want a full-service library card to check out items from our collection, just come in to one of our branches with your picture ID and get a new account number and card.

E-Card

You can use this form to apply for an E-Card.  You do not need to fill out this form if you already have a library account.  Your PIN/password is set as your 7-digit phone number by default.

By applying for and receiving a library E-Card, I agree that: (1) I will follow all library rules and policies, including all computer access policies. (2) I will keep this contact information up to date, including e-mail address and phone numbers. (3) By providing an e-mail address I understand I will receive messages about the library and can opt-out at any time. (4) I can upgrade an E-Card to a full-access account by presenting a picture ID at a library location and providing more detailed contact information.
