Author of more than a dozen books, Jason Offutt grew up in Orrick, Missouri, and now teaches at Northwest Missouri State University. His writing career includes science fiction; paranormal journalism; newspaper reporting, editing, and managing; and a syndicated humor column. Among his published works are "Chasing American Monsters", "Haunted Missouri", "What Lurks Beyond", and the 2022 novel, "The Girl in the Corn".
