A book discussion of Allen Esken's novel, The Life We Bury.

Join us for a discussion of Allen Eskens' novel, The Life We Bury.  Joe Talbot is a college student assigned to write the biography of a stranger.  He meets Carl Iverson in a local nursing home and is intrigued with the former Vietnam vet's past, Iverson was convicted of raping and murdering his teen age neighbor 30 years earlier.  Joe is soon pulled into the case, unraveling the truth about the crime as he fights to continue his college plans and live his own life.

About the library

Belt Branch was expanded and renovated in 2006 and occupies a unique space in a commercial strip-mall building on the busiest thoroughfare in town.  It is open 7 days a week and offers over 30 programs per month. You can also schedule a one-on-one technology appointment or apply to get a passport.
