Wanted: Halloween Costumes

Posted by Alan on

Do you have an old Halloween costume tucked away in a closet or in a bottom dresser drawer that your kids have outgrown? Why not donate it to someone who can wear it?

We are seeking gently used – or new – costumes of all sizes to give to children who don’t have costumes. They will be distributed at our annual Boofest at the Belt Branch on Saturday, Oct. 24, and children can keep them so they have something to wear Halloween night.

Costumes — either complete sets or parts such as fairy wings and astronaut gloves — can be dropped off until Oct. 24 at the Belt Branch and the Savannah Branch. Boofest is planned for 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and will feature safe trick-or-treating, games, crafts and a free hot dog lunch provided by the Kiwanis Club for the first 200 children.
