Donors sought for library blood drive on Sept. 5
Library patrons and the public are invited to donate blood Wednesday, Sept. 5, in the Belt Branch Upper Story to help meet the critical need for blood at medical facilities in the Kansas City region.
The drive is planned for 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome. Appointments can be made online at esavealifenow.org and entering the sponsor code “rollinghills.”
Community Blood Center will conduct the drive with staff from its St. Joseph facility. CBC provides nearly 200,000 blood products annually to 70 hospitals in the Kansas City region and eastern Kansas and western Missouri, relying on volunteer donors to meet the need for life-saving gifts of blood.
